10 Minute (Healthy) Dessert!

Hey Babes!

Lets get real. Eating healthy when you are constantly on the go, the temptation to grab a quick bag of chips, poptarts, candy bars, etc. is so real. And if you work at a company like mine, there is never any shortage of sugary treats in the kitchen or break room! Now, I am all for enjoying life and all the yummy treats it has to offer (um chocolate, hello), but eating healthy and making good choices is key to feeling good and looking great too! If you want a quick and delicious recipe you can have as a snack and curb that sweet tooth, then this is the blog post for you!

Ladies, meet the three ingredient, delicious, oatmeal cookie. Here’s what you will need:

1. 2 ripe bananas
2. 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
3. 1 cup of oatmeal

1. Preheat the oven to 400 and coat a baking sheet with spray, to prevent the cookies from sticking.
2. Mash up the bananas completely, then add the peanut butter and oatmeal.
3. Mix well then place mix on baking sheet in individual cookies.
4. Heat for 10-15 minutes

This recipe is uhmazing, and one of my absolute favorite dessert replacements. Healthy, all natural, and a feel good treat! Happy eating 🙂

The True Purpose

Good morning Dolls and happy launch day!

This has been a dream of mine for a couple of years now and I recently decided to dive in head first and really go for it. I invested in a domain name and officially started the journey as a blogger. I have learned a lot about lighting, cameras, photo shoots and angles, etc. (and still learning so bear with me)!

A little about me…. I am an auditor by day, therefore I work a full time job for an accounting firm in the D.C. area. On a day to day basis, I balance a demanding career, fit in my workouts, take care of my babies (yochon puppy and cockatiel), study for the CPA exam, meal prep, as well as prepare content for the blog. I am extremely busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

First, I think I ought to explain how I came up with the name “Three Golden Rules.” As I was thinking about what I wanted to share with the world and what was important to me, I realized that living my life and filling myself with constant happiness is due to three main aspects. First, I have always loved fashion and putting outfits together, and personally on the days where I really love my outfit, I feel so much better and I am actually way more productive. Second, I swam for fifteen years so exercise has always been a huge part of my daily routine and something I can not live without. Moving and exercising, as well as eating healthy foods, helps me feel good and stay energized throughout the day. It’s also a great stress reliever and, best of all, it’s free! Third, Jesus is my rock. I read daily devotionals and one of my goals this spring is to dive more into God’s word and make it a part of my morning routine. It creates a positive mindset and helps me feel at peace going into the day. With all that said, my posts will be geared toward those three categories as I discuss below.

So what’s the purpose of the Three Golden Rules? Fashion, fitness, and faith are three aspects of my life that are part of my everyday routine and very important to me. I will have fashion posts geared around recent trends and the seasons, but only looks I would actually wear.  Hopefully this blog will be a resource to help you guys put your own cute spin on these outfits and rock them in your day to day life.

As this is a lifestyle blog, for the fitness aspect, I will be posting healthy and yummy recipe ideas, mainly geared toward busy people who do not have a lot of time to cook fancy shmancy meals. I also want to be able to be a source of workout ideas, and help give you some inspiration to get moving and feel healthy in your own body.

The faith aspect may be a bit controversial; however to put it plainly, I just do not care. I respect others and whatever beliefs they may have, but I think those of us that have relationships with God, have a responsibility to share the amazing power of his grace with others. We have to shine a light into their lives and be a positive influence. I’ll be sharing verses and some of my daily devotionals with you all and explain how they help me. My goal is to help lift you all up in a way that will allow you to apply God’s wisdom to your own lives.

I want to provide a positive and fun platform where people can come to get outfit inspiration for work and play, workout and recipe ideas to feel good in their own skin, and also a dose of Jesus to help live life to the fullest. Balance is everything, and if I can do it, then so can you!
